MARVEL
i've been somewhat of a marvel fan within recent years, but it was this year that i really started to feel like a fan, especially with the release of the winter soldier, which made me fall even more in love with the universe and the characters.





TAYLOR SWIFT
i've been a fan of taylor's since she first started, but this year my love for her skyrocketed
in ways I didn't even know it could. and i wouldn't have it any other way.







NOTHING MUCH TO DO
i really got into webseries this year. i watched quite a few, but i
think nothing much to do would have to be my favorite. i can't even
really put into words why exactly i love it so much. i feel like i
can't do it justice. please go and watch it, it's so very wonderful.




THE FLASH
i was really late on this, but i absolutely love the flash!
barry allen has become one of my new favorite characters. i watched arrow when it first came out,
but got behind during it's second season and never really caught up. i forced myself to finish s2 and then
rewarded myself with watching the flash because it was so highly praised.
and rightly so! such an amazing show.





HOW TO GET AWAY WITH MURDER

i think this is show is on just about everybody's best of 2014 list. the characters are great, the plot is hypnotizing,
the cast is amazing, just an all around great show. and as connor is my favorite character...





THE 100
i think this is another one of those shows that's on everybody's best list.
i know it is for me. i've fallen completely in love with clarke.
and raven, and monty, and miller, and octavia, and bellamy, and everyone. except for finn.
i can't wait to see what the rest of the season has in store, the first half has already been
so shocking? emotianlly traumatizing?




RED BAND SOCIETY

i absolutely love this show. which is why it sucks that it's most likely getting cancelled.
i think it's mainly the time slot it has (wenesdays at nine? you can't put a brand new hospital drama up against
a long running series like criminal minds!) but if people gave it a chance they would see how wonderful it is.
the characters are all so lovely and full of depth, the relationship dynamics between everyone
are so interesting, and not to mention octavia spencer stars in it! i'm going to miss it so much. :(






BIG BROTHER

i've known about bb for a few years now, i've watched one or two seasons,
but 2014 was the year i got really into it. i created a bb sideblog on tumblr, i
constantly checked update blogs who watched the livefeeds, i even watched bbcan2!
i think the main reason i was so into it because i loved one of the contestants so much.
and that contestant was: nicole. NICOLE MY QUEEN. she was my fave from day one and i
wanted her to win so badly. and when she got to come back after being sent home, i almost
cried! danny, zach, hayden, and cody (i'm in the majority here, i know!) also kept me watching,
even when i wanted to stop because derrick was controlling everything, ugh. anyway, here's nicole
being a queen as always.






ONE DIRECTION
i've been a fan of 1d since they were first starting on x factor, but i felt i needed to include them
here on this list, because this year was the year i finally got to see them LIVE. it was just amazing as
everyone always said and was everything i expected and more. i couldn't find an ot5 picture i really liked and
louis, followed by harry, are my favorites in the group so i made a wallpaper with just the two of them.






MS. MARVEL
i read all of kamala khan's ms. marvel this year and i am so. in. love.
words can't express how wonderful this comic or how amazing it is to have a
muslim superhero with her own story.

SELFIE
this is also one of those shows that seems to be a hit with everyone. unfortunately,
it took everyone a while to see it's charm and now it's been cancelled. :/ crossing my fingers netflix
or someone picks it up. i mean, come on! karen gillan! john cho!






THE WALKING DEAD

i first tried to get into twd years ago when the first season had just finished. i got until the part in
the first episode where the little girl drops her teddy bear and then stopped. never to go back to it again.
until this year. one of my sister's has been watching it for a couple of years, now, but this year my other sister
took it to the extreme. she's probably the biggest twd fan there is. my family had a twd premiere party. they went
to the set (which we coincidentally don't live that far from). eventually, i got so tired of being pressured to do it,
i just caught up. and i love it. especially carol, daryl, maggie, michonne, and glenn.





IN THE FLESH
this probably one of, if not the, biggest thing for me this year. i started
watching because of a few posts floating around tumblr praising it in
terms of representation of queer characters who weren't reduced to their
sexuality and the parallels between the pds sufferes and disabilities and other things.
plus it only had a few episodes, which was a big plus for me since it takes me ages
to finish anything. and i ended up watching it all in one sitting. i fell in love
with kieren. so badly. i even changed my tumblr url for him, which i haven't
done since i remade it a few years ago. that's dedication.





CARMILLA
this is the only other thing that might give itf a run for it's money in terms of
being my most beloved thing this year. i said before that i got really into web series this year,
but i mean, i got really, really, really into this one. it's almost all females and all queer. and vampires.
what more could you want?
